Coach Michel Therrien said Monday he believes the Pittsburgh Penguins can be successful with their current collection of players, but that won't prevent him from changing the roles of some for tonight's game against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

Winger Miroslav Satan, who does not have a goal in eight games, has been demoted to the fourth line, where he will work alongside Dustin Jeffrey and Eric Godard, and defensemen Alex Goligoski and Hal Gill apparently will be healthy scratches.

Therrien confirmed that defensemen Mark Eaton and Philippe Boucher, who sat out the Penguins' 6-1 loss to Florida Saturday at Mellon Arena, will play this evening, but declined to indentify who they would replace. Gill and Goligoski, however, remained on the ice for extra work after the game-day skate, as did winger Tim Wallace.

The other lines at the Penguins' game-day skate were: Pascal Dupuis-Sidney Crosby-Tyler Kennedy, Ruslan Fedotenko-Evgeni Malkin-Petr Sykora and Matt Cooke-Jordan Staal-Max Talbot.
