NHL - Sports Rumors

“PeterPeter Forsberg(notes) finally got some actual interest from an NHL team to bring him back to North America and then he decides that he's just not ready to play the NHL game just yet, according to the Camden Courier-Post.

The general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Paul Holmgren, supposedly expressed formal interest to Forsberg's agent about bringing him back but then Forsberg had his agent tell Holmgren and everybody else in the NHL that he needed more time before returning to build up some stamina and "feel comfortable skating." Yes, that would be a key ingredient.

This could be it for the 36-year-old Swede as far as NHL teams coming after him. Or, more likely, this will be a game that is played all season long with Forsberg thinking about signing and then backing away.

**BREAKING NEWS** Peter Forsberg is not returning to the NHL, instead he has decided to play for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings as Brett Favre's newest wide receiver. He was so enamored with Favre's "maybe-I-will, maybe-I-won't" mentality which held all his former teams and fans hostage, that he decided to join him on the gridiron.

2 things: maybe this will stop, at least for now, the onslaught of pointless articles in this section related to Forsberg and his b.s. media obsession, dumb articles that essentially sum up to be that he tied his shoes with his left eye closed the other day, which signalled he will only play in the NHL for a team in the central time zone, and, just maybe, Yahoo can start having hockey articles about players that are ACTUALLY PLAYING!!!!!!

Look for Fopa to increase his stamina, play in the Olympics and make a playoff run. Of course he'd have to be healthy for that to happen. Hey look I just won the Powerball Lotto. Got to go

He's fine and ready to play in the NHL, just not for Philthy. Can't say I blame him there. Once Nylander pisses off for good to the KHL, he'll be wearing a Caps jersey.

The Flyers dont need this guy, if they arn't careful they might make the same mistake last season, by getting rid of scottie upshall, the team was doing fine. As for forsberg, if he wants to come back let him come back and he can be the bret farve of hockey, but just dont sighn with philly

It's simple, if you don't care if he comes back don't read the article. All you people crying about these forsberg articles are about as smart as a rock on crack. I'm sad he's not coming back ,he's a great player. Hopefully we get to see him in the olympics.
