After Monday's 5-3 victory over the Florida Panthers, Alex Ovechkin and his teammates finally have a tangible measurement of their recent success: They're back to .500 for the first time since Oct. 24 the Washington Post reported.
"We've officially reached mediocrity," said Coach Bruce Boudreau, who took over on Nov. 22, when the Capitals were 6-14-1, their worst start in 26 years. "You always have little goals. And that was a goal.
"But the easy part is to get there. The hard part is to get over it and stay above it. If we want to make the playoffs we have to get better than that."

This team needs a younger goalie to help Kolzig with the workload, and more grit up front so that they can actually compete for a playoff spot.
Nice to see the emergence of (lately) Backstrom and Green this year though, and Karl Alzner will be a stud on the blueline for them as well once he makes the team.
Boudreau seems to have done a good job with this team, his only real problem is that he seems to have gone to the Randy Carlyle/Barry Trotz school of having a huge (literally) head. That thing could challenge Barry Bonds.

Don't you have anything better to do than to go trolling though forums trying to draw fire by making idiotic statements? You're a very sad individual and I pity you.
