Tampa Bay Lightning owners Len Barrie and Oren Koules haven't been getting along for some time and the NHL is trying to figure out a way to solve their problems. It gave Barrie sixty days to try and buy out Koules and is now giving Koules 60 days to try and buy out Barrie.
Barrie's time window ended on Monday night although he apparently thought he had till Wednesday and was still trying to put together a deal on Monday evening as his time ran out. He supposedly was working with St. Louis real estate bigwig Anthony Sansone Jr. to come up with enough dough to get Koules out of the picture, according to the Tampa Tribune.
The original plan had Barrie's time window closing Wednesday but since he missed several deadlines within the sixty days, the time span shortened. He didn't seem to know that until the Tampa Tribune informed him.
When told that he was done, Barrie apparently said to the paper, "We'll see. I guess I would be happy to get my $40 million." That's how much he originally put into the $200 million bid to buy the team way back in June 2008.

I for one, am sick of hearing about these two buffoons. The Lightning had a great thing going with the Bill Davidson group, only to sell it to these two posers. Can't wait till they get to SAW 9, then maybe they can finally figure out if they can afford to keep Vinny or not.
