ST. LOUIS (TICKER) —The St. Louis Blues try to post a 10th victory in 14 games and remain in fourth place in the Western Conference when they open a four-game homestand against the Florida Panthers.

The Blues are 9-3-1 in their last 13 contests and moved into a fourth-place tie with Colorado with a 1-0 blanking of Minnesota on the road on Wednesday. Both the Blues and Avalanche have six games remaining and meet in Denver in the season finale on April 6. Colorado hosts Los Angeles on Thursday.

In Wednesday’s contest, Cory Stillman scored in the first period and Chris Osgood, who made 31 saves, made it stand for his second shutout since being acquired from the Islanders on March 11.

The Panthers, who have been eliminated from the Eastern Conference playoff race, have lost four in a row and six of seven.

On Wednesday, Florida lost at Buffalo, 2-1, in the opener of a four-game road trip. Kristian Huselius had Florida’s only marker, reaching the 20-goal mark for the second straight season.
