SUNRISE, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The Ottawa Senators try to defeat the Florida Panthers on the road for a fifth straight meeting when they conclude a four-game road trip on Saturday at the Office Depot Center.
The Senators have won four in a row here since a 3-1 setback on October 28, 2000.
Ottawa posted a 2-1 triumph here on January 22. The Senators also split two home contests against the Panthers earlier this season, but Florida won the last game, 4-3 on February 20.
The Senators, who have a league-best 102 points, have a seven-point lead over New Jersey for home-ice advantage in the Eastern Conference.
Ottawa improved to 2-1 on its trip with a 5-1 victory at Atlanta on Friday. Todd White had two goals, Karel Rachunek one goal and two assists and Mike Fisher and Vaclav Carada one goal apiece.
Ray Emery, making his first career start, made 14 saves to earn the win.
Florida has lost three of four, including a 3-1 setback to Minnesota on Wednesday in the opener of a three-game homestand.
Viktor Kozlov scored the Panthers’ lone goal.
