SUNRISE, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The Ottawa Senators try to defeat the Florida Panthers on the road for a fifth straight meeting when they conclude a four-game road trip on Saturday at the Office Depot Center.
The Senators have won four in a row here since a 3-1 setback on October 28, 2000.
Ottawa posted a 2-1 triumph here on January 22. The Senators also split two home contests against the Panthers earlier this season, but Florida won the last game, 4-3 on February 20.
The Senators, who have a league-best 102 points, have a seven-point lead over New Jersey for home-ice advantage in the Eastern Conference.
Ray Emery, making his first career start, made 14 saves to earn the win.
Florida has lost three of four, including a 3-1 setback to Minnesota on Wednesday in the opener of a three-game homestand.
Viktor Kozlov scored the Panthers’ lone goal.
