Thomas has a season-high three-game points streak with three goals and one assist in two games with Anaheim after being acquired from Chicago on Tuesday.
Thomas scored 2:04 into overtime to give the Mighty Ducks a 3-2 triumph over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. Before the trade, Thomas had just four goals in 69 games and his game-winner Thursday was his 12th overtime goal.
The Ducks have won three straight and four of five and are tied for sixth place in the Western Conference with Minnesota, six points ahead of eighth-place Edmonton.
The Coyotes’ winless streak reached three games (0-2-1) with Friday’s 4-0 home loss to Chicago. They took just 21 shots, allowed three power-play goals and went 0-for-5 with the man advantage.
The Ducks lead the season series 2-1-1 and are 6-2-1 in the last nine meetings with the Coyotes.
