PHILADELPHIA (TICKER) —The Vancouver Canucks try to extend their franchise-record road unbeaten streak to 10 games on Tuesday when they continue a five-game trip against the Philadelphia Flyers at First Union Center.
The Canucks are unbeaten in their last nine road games (6-0-3-0), eclipsing the previous franchise mark set in 1995. They have also set a new team record with 21 road victories this season.
Vancouver improved to 1-0-1-0 on its road trip with a 6-4 victory over the Boston Bruins on Monday.
Matt Cooke had two goals and an assist and Trent Klatt added a goal and an assist for the Canucks, who scored all six goals in the final 38 minutes and won for the ninth time in 12 games.
Philadelphia extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-2 overtime victory over Boston on Saturday.
Jeremy Roenick scored two goals, including the game-winner one minute into overtime, as the Flyers won for the fourth time in five games.
Philadelphia has just one loss in its last five home games (2-1-2-0) and is 15-9-7-1 at First Union Center this season.
