CHICAGO (TICKER) —The Phoenix Coyotes try to match their season-high winning streak when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center on Thursday.
Since a gour-game losing streak, the Coyotes have won three straight games, one shy of their season-long winning streak, set from December 28-January 3.
On Tuesday, Phoenix defeated Colorado, 5-2. Brad May scored once and former Blackhawk Tony Amonte twice in the first period, Ladislav Nagy in the second and Mike Johnson in the third.
Chicago has lost four of five, including a 5-4 setback to Colorado on Monday.
Steve Sullivan, Alexei Zhamnov, Steve Thomas and Eric Daze all scored but Jocelyn Thibault stopped only five of the 21 shots he faced.
Chicago defeated Phoenix on the road on November 28, 4-2. Amonte made his return to Chicago on January 8 and hard a lot of boos as the teamsskated to a rare 0-0 tie.
