CHICAGO (TICKER) —Before embarking on a lengthy road trip, the Chicago Blackhawks hope to end a three-game losing streak when they host the St. Louis Blues in a Central Division matchup at the United Center on Thursday.

The Blackhawks open a season-high seven-game road trip at Pittsburgh on Saturday and, due to the All-Star break, do not play another home game until February 12.

Chicago’s most recent loss was a 5-1 defeat at Columbus on Monday. The Blackhawks attempted 38 shots but only Tyler Arnason got one past Marc Denis in the setback.

Chicago lost a season-high four straight games from November 19-25.

The Blues had gone 3-0-0-1 over their previous four games before an 8-4 loss at Atlanta on Tuesday. Keith Tkachuk tallied two goals for St. Louis, which allowed five goals in the first period and three in the second.

The teams split their first two games this season. Chicago won in St. Louis on January 2, 4-1, but the Blues won at home last Saturday, 4-2.
