JIM FOX'S SCORECARD

Rangers vs. Devils
Fox's Take
  Goalie
Slightest of edges to Martin Brodeur over Henrik Lundqvist, although Brodeur will have to be better than he was in last year's postseason.
Forwards
If all goes well, Rangers get edge because of more depth.
Defense
Devils are tougher, bigger and stronger. New York is more mobile and plays it safe.
Power Play
Not much is happening with either team. Whoever gets hot will be huge.
Penalty Kill
Slight edge to Rangers, team has bought into overall defensive approach.
Coaching
Brent Sutter has done fine job in first year, but Tom Renney has sold team structure to this Ranger group.
Intangibles
It just seems like the Rangers believe they can do it.
Rangers
Bottom Line: Home ice belongs to the Devils, but too much up-front depth will put the Rangers on top. New York in 6!
