Sorry folks, but the real problem for the Pens is POOR COACHING!!! The stats speak for themselves (per this article) -- "The Penguins had the second-most points in franchise history (106) during the regular season but failed to reach the second round for the first time since 2007." Now, IF the coaching was of the HIGHER CALIBER that is necessary for Playoff Hockey then THAT AMOUNT OF POWER should have been used properly in the playoffs but NOOOOOO, I saw a coach who stood there like a fkn statue, gawking at his dumb as sed Defensive players LETTING TAMPA GET BEHIND THEM (thus making shots available that should NOT have been) then I think it's time to look at him a little more than just a "heads up" nod. Oh, just so you know, in my little world I coached for over 30 years and ONE THING that didn't happen TWICE was a Defender letting anyone SNEAK in behind him!!! Yea, it's too bad Sid, et al, weren't playing but if you get to the playoffs then it's now "What are you going to do for me NOW" time!!! Tampa will be eliminated as they're not ready for the Caps.

No they aren't fans. The players are performers at the same time they want to win more than any of us want them to win. It is a shame people do not see the emotion or injuries they play with. Yes they are paid to play the game but they play it for us as much as they do themselves. I would also like to add that anyone that says Crosby is weak or that he took a dive what are you thinking. The man was on track for the best statistical season the NHL has seen in a long time. He has dedicated his life to the sport and if there was anyway he could of been on the ice, no question the man would of played. I am very proud to say I am from Pittsburgh and talk smack on other teams and players but it is done out of pride. Anyone that wishes injury on any player from any team should not call themselves a fan. To truely be a fan you have to love the game itself first. Both the Steelers and Pens gave us great seasons and we should be thankful. The Pirates season is still young but even if it is another losing season let us be greatful for what they are doing for us.

I definitely agree with you, "Straight". I was disgusted when they were booed. And it was only their second PP! Fans that boo their team are not really fans. Those fans couldn't do any better than the Penguins.

I am a Pittsburgh native now living away from home forced to watch the games on Center Ice. I still love my home town and my sports. I was in shock when the fans there booed the power play. It made me sick!! Those players went out and gave you their all the enitre season. I would be lying if I was to say I'm not dissapointed the Pens season is over but not because they lost. I'm dissapointed for the players that gave us one hell of a season and hrs of entertainment only to be booed. Win or lose they should be cheered for all they do for us, not just entertaining but what they do for our community.

I cant wait for the royal wedding !!!! I am so jealouse of Kate.

Not a fan of pittsburg,,, okay okay, i dispise the pennys. Buuut that they did show a lot of heart . it was kind of like going into a fight with one hand tight behind their back. The series wouldnt have been that close if that were not true. Tampa bay won fair and square despite the cheapshots by the likes of armpits, crumpets and la -fang and company . Stevey Y did a great job with this organization so far... just like him they play with CLASS. I really doubt they will get past the caps unfortunately as i love to watch their skill players, martin vince and stammy etc.
