    Jets cap busy trade deadline with shutout by Laurent Brossoit in 3-0 win over Kraken

    The trade deadline arrived with the Winnipeg Jets addressing their need for a little more offensive punch before finishing the day showing just how strong they are defensively. Laurent Brossoit made 17 saves for his first shutout of the season, Mark Scheifele scored his 19th goal 7:15 into the third period and the Jets beat the Seattle Kraken 3-0 on Friday night. Adam Lowry scored with 8:32 left to give Winnipeg a 2-0 lead and the Jets pulled even with Dallas and Colorado at the top of the Central Division.

    Burakovsky scores winning goal helping Kraken edge Jets, 4-3

    Andre Burakovsky scored a power-play goal with 2:39 remaining in the third period to lift the Seattle Kraken to a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. Jared McCann had a goal and two assists and Justin Schultz and Tomas Tatar also scored for the Kraken, who have won four of their last five games. Joey Daccord made 30 saves for Seattle, which was coming off a 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Monday and has earned at least a point in eight of its last 10 games, going 7-2-1 in that span.
