Butler was traded to the Panthers on Friday in exchange for defenseman T.J. Brennan, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Recommendation: Not exactly an earth-shattering trade, but both players should get a shot to earn significant playing time with their new teams. Butler was waived by the Devils after scoring just 2 points in 14 games last season, though he tallied nine points in 20 games after the Predators picked him up.
