Piskula signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Predators on Tuesday, NHL.com reports.
Recommendation: Piskula would earn $135,000 at the AHL level and $550,000 at the NHL level under the terms of the deal. The defensemen scored 14 points in 69 games last year with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals and Abbotsford Heat.

The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Joe Piskula to a one-year, two-way contract.
Advice: The 6-foot-3, 214-pound defenseman has played 393 AHL games in six seasons with 74 points and 335 penalty minutes. He helped the Wisconsin Badgers win the 2006 NCAA national championship.
