D Mathieu Carle made his NHL debut Tuesday. He was called up from Hamilton after doctors advised Hal Gill to take time off to rest a leg injury. Carle played 12:55, was plus-1 and had a shot on goal and two blocked shots. But he was in the penalty box for one goal and had five giveaways.
