RW Ryan Vesce was returned to Worcester of the AHL. "I like what Vess did since his call-up, which has been a month," coach Todd McLellan told the San Jose Mercury News. "He played extremely well when he was healthy and now coming back, he needs to play more than six or seven minutes to get his game again. And as a coach I wasn't able to get him that in the first two games, so we're going to send him to Worcester, get his legs again, get a little bit of timing down and the quality minutes that he needs. Then we'll have no problem bringing him back." Vesce has played in six games with San Jose this season, posting four points (three goals, one assist). He missed seven games because of a lower-body injury. |
