D Dan Girardi and D Marc Staal, the Rangers' top defensive pairing all season, were split up Saturday in Pittsburgh, with Girardi skating with rookie Michael Del Zotto and Staal aligned with veteran Michal Rozsival. The other all-rookie pairing consisted of Matt Gilroy and recently recalled former first-round pick Bobby Sanguinetti.
