RW Steve Bernier only had one goal in nine games and had been dropped from the first to the fourth line, but he was bumped up to the third unit in Colorado last Saturday and responded with a pair of third period goals. The big winger added another power play goal in the third period of Friday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche, giving him seven this season, and putting him on pace for a respectable 26 goals in a season that has seen his opportunities sometimes limited. Now that he's on the second power play unit, he has to use his size to create opportunities for himself and for others.
