LW Jeff Carter enjoyed a breakout game, as he recorded a hat trick with two goals in the second period and one in the third period. Carter, a member of the Kings' second line, had scored only one goal in his 10 games in this postseason before Tuesday. Carter became the 10th Kings player, all-time, to record a hat trick in the postseason. The last player was Wayne Gretzky, on May 29, 1993, in Game 7 of the Campbell Conference Finals against Toronto.

Carter picked up a hat trick in the Kings' 4-0 win in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday.
Recommendation: Carter's struggled at times this postseason as he came into play Tuesday with just four points in ten playoff games but the Kings now have a chance to put a stranglehold on the series as it heads back to Los Angeles.
