G Dan Ellis made 27 saves for the win. It was his first start since Oct. 28, when he was pulled in the second period of a game with the Minnesota Wild.

Ellis made 27 saves to lead the Predators to a 3-1 victory over Los Angeles on Saturday.
Advice: The goalie responded with a strong effort after being pulled from his previous start. He had allowed three goals on 10 shots in a visit to Minnesota on Oct. 28, with Pekka Rinne seeing all the action in between.

Ellis' teammate, Pekka Rinne, was named the NHL's Second Star last week.
Recommendation: Ellis appears to be the clear number two goalie in Nashville at this point. Rinne had a 3-0-0 record with a 0.76 goals-against average last week, along with a .968 save percentage and one shutout. Ellis has not played since being pulled on October 28 after allowing three quick goals in a game against Minnesota. While there is no official word on who will start the Preds' next game, we expect it will be Rinne, not Ellis.
