DiPietro (knee) took part in the morning skate Wednesday, Islanders Point Blank reports. Recommendation: Good to see DiPietro on the ice with no reported health issues the day after a full practice session. Barring any setbacks, he might be back with the Isles in early to mid-December. |

G Rick DiPietro, who hasn't play since Jan. 5 of last season due to lingering effects from multiple surgeries on his left knee, has resumed practicing with the team but still isn't expected back until early December. DiPietro admits he finally sees "the light at the end of the tunnel" following a 10-month absence from the Islanders' lineup due to multiple knee surgeries. |
