The Blue Jackets signed Kristian Huselius to a four-year, $19-million contract on Wednesday. Advice: Huselius will see time on one of the top two lines, helping to offset the loss of offensive star Nikolai Zherdev, who was dealt to the New York Rangers earlier in the day. The 29-year-old winger spent the past two-plus seasons with Calgary. After finishing with 20 goals and 27 assists in 78 games with Florida and Calgary in 2005-06, he set career highs for goals (34), assists (43) and points (77) the following year. Last year, he had 25 goals and 41 assists in 81 games. |

Minnesota has been trying hard to sign Huselius to a free agent contract, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Recommendation: The Wild are still in the market for forwards after the departure of Brian Rolston and Pavel Demitra. |
