Stuart has re-signed with the Red Wings, reports TSN.ca. It's a four-year contract that averages $3.75 million per season. Recommendation: There's also a no-trade clause in the first two years and a limited no-trade in the last two. This was probably a deal breaker for the defender who has packed his bags far too many times in his career. He should be paired with Niklas Kronwall on the Wings second pairing, a role that he excelled in upon his arrival in Detroit and during the Stanley Cup run. |

The Red Wings signed Stuart to a four-year contract on Tuesday. No official terms were released, but the contract is believed to be worth $3.75 million per season for four years, according to TSN. Advice: Stuart had one goal and one assist in nine regular season games, missed eight games with a broken finger, then returned in time for the playoffs and scored a goal and had six assists in 21 games for the Stanley Cup champions. |
