D Rob Blake wasn't divulging the extent of his upper-body injury Saturday, but he dropped a pretty big clue that it's his left shoulder that is ailing. Blake underwent an MRI exam on Friday after getting hurt on Wednesday night in Columbus. "Most of those are precautions," Blake told the San Jose Mercury News of the testing. "Plus there's a previous surgery with pins in there from before, so I think they've got to make sure all that's intact, which hopefully it is." Blake underwent shoulder surgery after the 2003-04 season. |

Blake said it was an awkward fall that caused him to sustain an upper body injury in Wednesday's game against Columbus, the San Jose Mercury News reports. Recommendation: "Sometimes you just fall wrong, Blake said. It was just an awkward fall. It wasnt a vicious hit or anything like that. Regardless, old man Blake is on injured reserve and his owners will have to keep him on their fantasy benches until more information develops from an MRI that Blake is to take on Friday. |
