Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Ducks, March 14, 2012: Fan Preview

The Detroit Red Wings, a team that has taken three of three games from the Los Angeles Kings simply could not find their groove on Tuesday night. It was a tough road loss, and the wings desperately need to learn to win on the road before the playoffs start.

Detroit faces another difficult challenge with a back-to-back game against the Anaheim Ducks. While the Ducks are average at best from a team perspective, Teemu Selanne could be a challenge if not contained.

It should be safe to assume Joey MacDonald will get the start with Jimmy Howard just returning from injury and playing the night before. He is a breath of fresh air after the pain of watching Ty Conklin in the net for the majority of the season as the backup.

On the bright side, the injured members of the Red Wings are starting to trickle back onto the ice, as most of them, with the exception of Patrick Eaves and Jonathan Ericsson, are day-to-day.

Come playoff time, they should be back to full strength.
