New York Islanders at New York Rangers, March 11, 2012: Fan Preview

The New York Rangers are entering the game in a very rare situation. Somehow they have managed to drop their last three games in regulation. Clearly there is an issue that needs to be addressed.

"I thought we got back to the way we needed to play. I thought we had some sustained pressure, I thought we did some things along the walls, I thought we checked well. We did a lot of good things. But when we were finding ways to win earlier, we're finding ways to lose right now. So we just keep on banging away at it." Stated coach John Tortorella after the Rangers 4-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night.

The Rangers will have a good chance to rebound on Sunday when they face off against the New York Islanders on Sunday. While the "other" New York team is not a sure-win, they have been struggling winning just three of their last 10 games.

With the red-hot Pittsburgh Penguins just three points behind in the Atlantic Division, the pressure could not be greater. Islanders' goaltender Evgeni Nabokov with a 2.49 GAA will definitely be a challenge, but the Rangers know how to score goals. It will just be up to Henrik Lundqvist to do a better job on the opposite side of the ice.
