Sabres agree to terms with D Pratt

BOSTON (TICKER) —The Buffalo Sabres agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defenseman Nolan Pratt prior to the team’s game on Thursday against the Boston Bruins.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pratt, who had one goal and seven assists in 81 contests with the Tampa Bay Lightning last season, has not played in a game this season.

Selected in the fifth round of the 1993 draft by Hartford, Pratt helped Tampa Bay to its first Stanley Cup title in 2003-04.

The 32-year-old blue-liner has eight goals and 50 assists in 537 career games with the Whalers/Carolina Hurricanes franchise, Colorado Avalanche and Lightning.
