Facing Off with New York Rangers G Henrik Lundqvist

NEW YORK (TICKER) —PA SportsTicker recently obstructed New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and held him long enough to ask the following questions:

1) What CD would you have to have with you on a cross-country drive?

I’m a radio guy. Right now, I’d probably put in Foo Fighters’ “Skin and Bones.” I just like that album. It’s acoustic and it’s really good. I watched them live last year, and I like that band.

2) Who is your favorite cartoon character of all time?

I would say Batman. I just liked the way he was hiding. He had his cool car and I remember watching tha growing up.

3) What celebrity “melts the ice” for you?

Angelina Jolie. I just like her. She’s a good actress and she got the package.

4) Who is your all-time favorite roommate on the road?

As a goalie, I usually stay by myself. Last year, I hung out a lot with (Michael) Nylander, but he’s not here anymore, so we’ll see who I’m hanging out with. He’s Swedish. I can speak Swedish with him.

5) What family tradition do you have during the holidays?

Back when I was still playing in Sweden, we always got together with the whole family. The usual stuff, a lot of food and presents. We just had a good time. Right now, the last two years, the family has been somewhere else and it’s been a new experience.
