Sabres acquire D Lehtonen from Predators

TORONTO (TICKER) —The Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday acquired defenseman Mikko Lehtonen from the Nashville Predators for a fourth-round pick in 2007.

Lehtonen, 28, appeared in 15 games with the Predators this season, collecting one goal and two assists. The Finn also recorded four tallies and 12 points in 35 contests with Milwaukee of the American Hockey League.

A ninth-round selection in the 2001 draft, Lehtonen helped Finland win a bronze medal at the 2006 World Championship.
