FIRST STAR: Roberto Luongo(notes), Vancouver
The Canucks goalie stopped 62 of 63 shots in a pair of weekend home victories over the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers. He enjoyed a 27-save shutout against Edmonton on Sunday for his 21st blanking in a Canucks sweater to set a franchise mark that was previously held by Kirk McLean.
SECOND STAR: Mike Cammalleri, Montreal
The Canadiens forward scored three times, including the overtime winner, and assisted on a power-play goal from Marc-Andre Bergeron(notes) in Montreal’s 5-4 win against the New York Rangers on Saturday. The Habs won three in a row last week.
THIRD STAR: Anze Kopitar(notes), Los Angeles
The Slovenian sniper scored two goals in the Kings’ 6-2 victory over Columbus on Sunday to push him to the lead league in goals (10) and points (21) in 12 games.
