Without goalies OV and Malkin are #1 and #2 while crosby sits at #3

this is only regarding Pittsburgh and Washington, if you go full league, there are 5 or so more that I would take over Crosby (as a player without his on ice antics). Don't get me wrong, he is very good, but he is not the best player in the league today by any means, but he is up there.

The problem with Direct TV and Versus is that Versus upped the fees to DTV for carrying their channel. DTV refuses to pay the new fees, calling them 'outrageous and excessive." Result: No Versus on Direct TV (DTV shows the announcement on Versus' channel and offers more explanation on their website).

Crosby is the best player to come along in awhile.The two Russians are also good but selfish and want to score more than help their team win.Malkin is #2 and Ovechkin #3.Don't figure Washington will win a cup in the next few years.They are good but its only the best "TEAM" that wins the Championship.

Hockey is undergoing a tough time,especially in the US so they need rich owners to keep teams in place.Phoenix just didn't have it and should be moved.Bettman is so biased toward American cities it hurts the game.We need a neutral smart business person to run the league not a lawyer.Fire the %&*$#@ idiot and Daly and get a new culture to run the NHL.Thats it thats all.

Post number 30...Another olympic break!? Give it a rest. It happens every 4 years. Who cares if players can get injured. Team Canada is far more important. "real Hockey fans" appreciate all aspects of the game not just what goes on in the NHL. A 3 week layoff just means more hockey. They are still playing 82 games not to mention the games in the olympics. I dont know about you but I will be watching both NHL and olympic hockey. Go Canada! Third... which Canadian franchise is in trouble? Wait... not a single one. When Ottawa was in financial trouble a few years ago the government didn’t need to bail them out, instead the fans kept coming (as a Leaf fan I don’t understand why they would haha).

Maybe there too many teams, cut out Phoenix , Florida, Atlanta maybe Nashville. Players salaries are way too high, hockey is for blue collar people ticket prices are way too high to support most teams. Bettman is an idiot and he is way over paid for his intelligence level, but then again he was taught by David Stern and look where basketball is headed. Bettman and some owners think the fan base owes them, really. I am a Wing fan and always will be, but when I watch the Wings on TV a lot of empty seats same with most other cities. Owners players get with it save the sport for the real fan not corporattions.

If canada is so great then why do all the players want to be paid with american money? also canada rapes it's teams and owners with high taxes, that's why all their players come to america to play. canada also won't help their teams when they are in trouble. maybe canada invented the game, but america made the game great. so to all canadian hockey fans enjoy your teams now because in 10 to 15 years, they'll all be american teams! go red wings!
