Five things to know about tonight's NHL games ...

1) Budaj versus Boston. The Montreal Canadiens have started Carey Price in their last eight games; he's getting tonight off. Backup Peter Budaj will be in net for the Habs first trip to Boston this season. Just a heads up Peter, the B's are currently riding a four-game win-streak.

2) Columbus red hot to ice cold. The Blue Jackets had been on an eight-game win-streak until it was snapped by Buffalo this past Saturday. Since then, Columbus has lost three straight.

3) Is Steven Stamkos back yet? Nope. Stamkos said he wanted to get a game or two in before heading to Sochi. That window is closing quickly with only four games remaining after tonight's against Ottawa.

4) Goals = good. It has now been two games since the San Jose Sharks last scored a goal. They sent 23 shots towards Jonathan Quick and he stopped them all. Then Ben Scrivens went all Julie 'The Cat' Gaffney and stopped each and every one of the Sharks 59 shots on goal. San Jose tries to hit the back of the net tonight against the Flames who are on a three-game win-streak.

5) Kings return to castle. The Kings ended their 'Grammy Road Trip' (eight games in 13 days) with a 3-0 loss to Phoenix. In their last 10, LA is 3-6-1 and a lot of the issues, ok, all of the issues, are chalked up to the lack of offensive production. Perhaps being back at Staples where they're 16-7-3 will help them score against one of the highest goal-producing teams in the league.

Bold prediction: Sid gets a hat-trick when the Kings score an own goal and the Penguins win 3-0.
