Harry Zolnierczyk splits Syracuse Crunch defense for stunning goal (Video)

Harry Zolnierczyk has spent most of his professional career with the American Hockey League affiliates of the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He's been a bottom liner who can chip in some goals from time to time.

This season, playing primarily with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Zolnierczyk is contributing a little more offense than usual. Through 35 in the AHL, he's scored 14 goals and 25 points, good for third on the team. On Wednesday night, his latest goal was a beauty:

Here's the Citizens' Voice's Jonathan Bombulie on the goal:

On Zolnierczyk's goal, he skated up the right wing and split defensemen Joey Mormina and Artem Sergeev diagonally as he cut to the net, then flipped a puck to the top corner while being tackled.

"I thought I could chip it behind them both and jump to the middle there," Zolnierczyk said. "I think it was a little bit of luck at the end to beat him over the glove."

That was the Penguins' third goal of the night en route to a 4-0 shutout over the Syracuse Crunch.
