(JIP) is "joined in progress." As you can see, the Blackhawks/Predators and Sharks/Avs series are the only ones this affects.

Impressions: Good news for Buffalo, getting a few extra days of rest before the playoffs start.

Not a single game of the Devils/Flyers series on VERSUS, which is stunning. Consider that Pittsburgh could be on six times against a team whose local ratings won't count for anything for VERSUS. Shows you how much a market like Pittsburgh can influence cable ratings when VERSUS's margins are what they are.

As Steve Lepore of Puck The Media notes, your NBC games:

Saturday, April 17 - Game 2: Boston vs. Buffalo, 1PM

Sunday, April 18 - Game 3: Phoenix vs. Detroit, 3PM

Saturday, April 24 - Game 5: Nashville vs. Chicago, 3PM

Sunday, April 25 - Game 6: Phoenix vs. Detroit, 2PM

Replacement games would be Colorado-San Jose on 4/24 and New Jersey-Philadelphia on 4/25.

Kudos to NBC for putting the Sabres on, although one figures that has more to do with Boston's participation. The absence of Ryan Miller(notes) from NBC airwaves, post-Olympics, has been stunning.

Two Phoenix games against Detroit on the Peacock as well, which would be the first two in franchise history (seriously). Someone smells a Cinderella, and someone respects how Detroit moves the needle in the postseason.

No Crosby, no Ovechkin in Round 1 on NBC ... thanks, Canada.
