Over the weekend, the captain of the Penguins American Hockey League team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Nathan Smith, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure for streaking downtown. A teammate, Ryan Stone, was charged with public drunkenness.
The Baby Penguins are currently awaiting their second-round opponent in the AHL playoffs, which will resume Thursday night.
According to ESPN.com, "Officials said Smith, a center for the AHL team, was charged with misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct, as well as public drunkenness. He was released on $10,000 bail." Both players will be disciplined by the team.
Geez, $10,000 bail for doing a little drunk streaking? That's harsh. At least give the kid a slap on the wrists and let him on his way. How harmful is seeing a naked ass running along the street? I wonder how far Smith got in downtown Wilkes-Barre. At least Frank the Tank in Old School got pretty far before being stopped by his wife.
Man, those cops in Wilkes-Barre ... what a bunch of killjoys.
