The Tampa Bay Lightning forced a Game 7 against the Boston Bruins with a defiant 5-4 victory on Wednesday night. Steve Downie(notes) played a big role in that Game 6 win, assisting on a Teddy Purcell(notes) power-play goal, working a great 2-on-1 break with Marty St. Louis, peppering Tim Thomas(notes) with five shots … and, well, acting like Steve Downie when he needed to.
Like, for example, talking smack and giving an air smooch to defenseman Andrew Ference(notes) with 1:50 left in the game. How precious.
You know, the playoff beards really do make everything look more rugged.
