If you're not familiar with the current dynamics of the Kontinental Hockey League, SKA Saint Petersburg is the Russian hockey version of "The Expendables": a collection of aging stars and huge box office draws that play better overseas than they do here.
This season, SKA added former San Jose Sharks netminder Evgeni Nabokov(notes), which has only added to their swagger. Check out the following promo for the 2010-11 season; it helps if you crank up the volume, because it was apparently shot by the Russian action movie director Mikael Bay (you may remember his disaster film "Avengard-don").
What, were you expecting shots of paper bags filled with money, ominous looking thugs and players being carried out on tarps? Full disclosure: We honestly had no idea Queen was that big in Russia.
Among the former NHLers featured: Current New York Islanders salary cap albatross Alexei Yashin(notes) (19), former St. Louis Blues forward Petr Cajanek (16), former Buffalo Sabres and Atlanta Thrashers enigma Maxim Afinogenov(notes) (61), former Minnesota Wild winger Maxim Sushinsky (33), former Nashville Predators and Edmonton Oilers defenseman Denis Grebeshkov(notes) (73) and Nabokov in goal.
It's understandable if you may have missed a few of them after this appeared in the video:

Forget escrow; that's the reason we should worry about Ovechkin leaving one day.
