It was the first proper overtime thriller of the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs.

It was a memorable duel between two goaltenders, between two desperate and damaged division rivals throwing their bodies around the rink in Boston. It was the kind of playoff game that could only end via something supernatural -- like, for example, an act of Satan at 7:41 of the second overtime to give the Boston Bruins a 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

More than anything else, it was the goalies' night: Ryan Miller(notes) of the Sabres with 36 saves and Tuukka Rask(notes) with 35.

Neither was flawless, each surrendering two goals in regulation. Neither had the elephantine save totals you'd typically associate with classic playoff goaltending. No ... all they did was put on an acrobatic display between the pipes that reminded viewers that an athletic save can have the same kinetic jolt that a brilliant move on an offense chance can have.

Coming up, check out some of the highlight reel.

First, here's Miller with a save on Matt Hunwick(notes), and then another stop:

Now we're getting into classic territory: Rask's diving save on Mike Grier(notes) in the third. This is the only Rask save that makes the cut here, but let it be said he was amazing in this game.

Miller on Patrice Bergeron(notes), sliding to his right on an incredible stop:

Finally, Miller's diving glove save on Satan in the first OT, one of the best stops of the season:

Head here for more great stops, and the goal highlights. Hopefully the thrill that was this game isn't lost in anger about officiating from Lindy Ruff.
