Karri Ramo(notes) is a former goalie for the Tampa Bay Lightning and property of the Montreal Canadiens, who traded for his rights this summer. He's currently a goaltender for Avangard Omsk of the KHL and, as Habs Inside/Out notes, this is "video evidence to suggest Karri Ramo may not be the next Patrick Roy."

No, he's not the first goalie to surrender a tally from in front of the crease. Yes, he's perhaps the first goalie to give up one from in front of his opponents' crease.

This blooper was from a KHL game on Oct. 7 between Jaromir Jagr's(notes) Avangard and Salavat Yulaev, home to players like Alex Radulov, Viktor Kozlov(notes) and Oleg Tverdovsky (so that's where he went).

Your eyes didn't deceive you: Ramo had given up a goal to Igor Grigorenko(notes) at 13:58 of the first period to tie the game at 1-1 before letting in this terrible Andrei Kuteykin goal at 15:57 to piss away the lead. For that, he was pulled from the game; Salavat eventually won, 4-3, as Grigorenko had a hat trick.

Now that you've witnessed this Ramo folly, take a look back at our Ondrej Pavelec vs. Vesa Toskala post from last season and rank the awfully long goals scored. I think we'd go Pavelec third, Ramo second and ToskaLOL as the worst.

Stick-tap to Pavel Lysenkov of SovSport for the video.
