Whether it's being taunted by the Canucks Green Men or tempted by Mitkini Girl or having a fan leap from the second row to assault you (Tie Domi only), the sin bin can be an uncomfortable place for the offending party.
Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith's(notes) personal hell during Game 4 of the Western Conference quarterfinals series against the Nashville Predators involved a shouting match with a rotund Predators fan over his salary.
At least we think so. It's difficult to decipher what, exactly, verbally transpires between the two in the following clip; at least until the Smashville native starts talking about pulling a fire alarm in the Blackhawks' hotel.
Keith offered his own emphatic retort after that, via his water bottle:
Game 6 of this series is tonight in Nashville. Should Keith be escorted to the penalty box this evening, we anticipate he'll start screaming something about being "in a glass box of emotion" as Nashville fans read aloud from his salary figures on Cap Geek ... until Brent Seabrook(notes) smashes the door with his stick, scoops up Keith and carries him away "Officer and a Gentleman" style. Love lift us up, indeed.
Nashville's playoff fate could hinge on the power play, where the Predators are an astoundingly bad 1-for-40 against Chicago in the regular and post-seasons. Barry Trotz promises his PP will "do a couple of different things" tonight; we assume not being terrible is rather high on the list.
Chicago, by the way, has no chance to win this series now that Gretchen Wilson has penned the official Predators fight song. Redneck woman > Blackhawks.
