The unofficial Henrik Zetterberg hip-hop slow jam tribute
A day hasn't gone by since the start of the playoffs when we haven't thought, "Damn, yo, when is someone going to bust out a hip-hop slow jam tribute to Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit Red Wings to the tune of R. Kelly's 'Ignition?'"
Thanks to Eric905, via YouTube, our wait is finally over. This track is filled with awkward lyrics, bad flow and about 300 uses of the word "snipe." We pretty much love it more than $8 beer in the cheap seats.
Sample prose:
"This is a remix to Zetters/
While I'm rocking his sweater/
He be scoring them goals/
Making them wish they were better/
Sippin' on champagne/
Won the championship game/
This guy's friggin sick/
Hope you remember his name."
Eventually, this sweet homage turns into a bizarre rant aimed at Sidney Crosby and the rest of the Penguins, claiming that Zetterberg will win the Conn Smythe over "Mr. RBK 87" and, amazingly, will win the Norris Trophy as well. Oh, and the Vezina. And he's better than Chuck Norris. Really, this may be our favorite hip-hop hockey song since "Go/Go Go Go/Go Habs Go/Go."

get a life kid i know all u do is look at sport comments and see when u can make a comment that makes ur sad life complete, yet theres going be no comment that will make ur little sad life complete so go talk to ur "friends" or enemies in "real life" and see what they say cuz you must be super cool to talk trash on the internet. also i just relized "hope the guy you wrote this died". shows that ur some 10 year old kids with nothing better to do, give tghe people of the world a favour, go back to school and learn some grammer, spelling and get some friends
