Vera Wang was the senior fashion editor at Vogue magazine for 16 years, and now she's hitting the red carpet with an intern. OK, so the intern is Sean Avery of the New York Rangers, who gave her an honor at the Fifi Awards, which are known as the Oscars of the fragrance industry. And who smells better than a hockey player?
Avery briefly spoke with a reporter from Jossip about his much ballyhooed gig at Vogue. Avery said he's made his share of photocopies and "is not intimidated by Anna Wintour," the inspiration for the icy editor in "The Devil Wears Prada."
Makin' copies, huh? Who knew Avery had so much in common with Rob Schneider? We're patiently waiting for someone to send us the security camera footage of Avery losing his mind while trying to figure out how to collate and staple 50 copies of an editorial budget, punching the machine in its brightness control and calling it "Fatso."
Thanks to The Big Lead for the tip, and be sure to check out its map of Avery's tremendous celebrity arc -- from appearing on "MAD TV" to flirting with Paris Hilton.
