Puck Daddy - NHL

In our first two episodes of Puck Tracks, the music selections were awesome (Metallica, AC/DC). But for gritty hockey players like Wade Belak(notes) and Brooks Laich(notes), they were also a little predictable (Metallica and, uh, AC/DC).

Which is why we're pleased to present Episode 3 of Puck Tracks: Season 1 featuring Matt Greene(notes), defenseman for the Los Angeles Kings and Hall & Oates fetishist.

Puck Tracks, our first podcast, created and facilitated by audio producer Michael Raphael. It features players discussing the music that helps shape their lives and careers. It's their soundtrack on the road or on the ice. It's the music that fuels their competitive passion, or evokes bittersweet memories of childhood and family.

Greene discusses the Method of Modern Love, as well as the pulse-pounding arena music during his time as an Edmonton Oilers player and how Eagles of Death Metal provided his Hollywood soundtrack. He's also a funny dude, which usually helps in these projects. Take a listen:
