Puck Daddy - NHL

We first experienced the musical passion of Brooks Laich(notes), the two-way forward and locker-room leader for the Washington Capitals, during the team's glam rock video shoot for the Verizon Center Jumbotron. Unlike, say, Meg White Mike Green(notes) on drums, Laich looked the part of the guitar hero.

In Episode 2 of Puck Tracks, the Puck Daddy podcast that explores the soundtracks of players' lives, Laich talks about being inspired by Angus Young of AC/DC and the suggestive lyrics of "You Shook Me All Night Long."

He touches on memorable arena music during games. Laich also discusses the virtues of 30 Seconds To Mars as a live rock act; to our chagrin, that didn't eventually lead into a discussion of Jared Leto and guy-liner.

Puck Tracks is the creation of audio producer Michael Raphael; check out what Brooks Laich ... er, likes in his music.

Here's Episode One of Puck Tracks, featuring Wade Belak(notes) of the Nashville Predators. Follow @pucktracks on Twitter for news and updates on subsequent episodes of Season 1.
