Here are your Puck Previews: Spotlighting the key games in NHL action, news and views as well as general frivolity. Make sure to stop back here for the nightly Three Stars when the games are finished.

Preview: Toronto Maple Leafs at Carolina Hurricanes, 7 p.m. EST. Both teams enter the game with seven points, so they're playing for last overall in the NHL. Jonas Gustavsson(notes) is in goal against the Staal-less Hurricanes. Chemmy on PPP said it: On Nov. 6, it's a must-win for Toronto.
Preview: Philadelphia Flyers at Buffalo Sabres, 7:30 p.m. EST. The flu has officially joined the Flyers lineup just in time to face the Sabres, who are 8-2-0 in their last 10. Interesting take in the Buffalo News about the Sabres on the draw, after dominating the Islanders by the ridiculous margin of 39-8. Watch The Game Live Via Hockey Night on Y! Sports.
Preview: Chicago Blackhawks at Colorado Avalanche, 9 p.m. EST. Second City Hockey isn't exactly high on beat writers calling out the Hawks after a rough game earlier this week. Matt Duchene(notes) was questionable but will play. Left Wing Lock is thinking Antti Niemi(notes) vs. Craig Anderson(notes) in the goalie battle.
Check out the Y! Sports scores and schedule page for previews of the other three games tonight.
Evening Reading
• SI: "Next year's draft could very well go down as the deepest talent pool since 2003." Congrats, Bruins. [SI]
• Chris Neil's wicked hit on Victor Hedman(notes) of the Tampa Bay Lightning gave the rookie his first NHL concussion. (Will he remember his first time?) Hit was clean, by the way. [Lightning Strikes]
• Interesting blog about how the Minnesota Wild's primary beat writer complained about how players deal with the media. [Hockey Wilderness]
• Really in-depth roundtable on Alexander Semin(notes) of the Washington Capitals, including whether to re-sign him after the season. [Japers Rink]
• Florida Panthers fans were ready for a major announcement about the team's ownership structure; instead, they got a partnership with Jet Blue. Surprise! [Litter Box Cats]
Puck Buddy Comment of the Day: Puck Buddy Anna on the Crosby urinal cakes post:
So...it would be more appropriate to chant, "Crosby is a great young player with lots of accomplishments but we dislike him because we're jealous and petty!"
That may be true, but "Crosby sucks" is more concise. See, it's an efficiency issue.
Bold Prediction: Elias scores in his return for the Devils.

To think, if someone else is willing to trade for our (and Toronto's) first rounder(s) next year for a decent one this year, there's no way the Bruins won't be competitive in 2011/12!
On a serious note, the B's need to score multiple goals against Buffalo. A win against one of the premier teams in the League (right now) would be a perfect way to end the schnide. Hopefully, a couple of these bounces will go the Bruins' way.

so we can expect serial biting from sideshow bob when the flyers play the penguins, blackhawks, ducks, and red wings? If he prefers fowl, does that mean he bites other flyers? I'm wondering if sideshow bob views his stick as more of a spatula.
