Puck Previews: Leafs visit Caps; Andy Sutton hearing on Saturday

Preview: Toronto Maple Leafs at Washington Capitals, 7 p.m. ET. Washington tries for their first win under Dale Hunter that isn't against the Ottawa Senators and to reverse a home skid that's seen the Caps lose four of their last five at Verizon Center. Colby Armstrong and Clarke MacArthur return to the Toronto lineup as James Reimer looks for his first win since recovering from a concussion.

Preview: Florida Panthers at Buffalo Sabres, 7:30 p.m. ET. It's Dec. 9 and the Panthers are second in the Eastern Conference and fourth overall in the NHL. At some point, if not already, we'll no longer be using "surprising" to describe the Panthers this season. Florida looks for their fourth straight win tonight as the Sabres try to end a home skid that's seen them lose six of seven at First Niagara Center.

Preview: Carolina Hurricanes at Winnipeg Jets, 8:30 pm. ET. Coming off their first win under head coach Kirk Muller, and on the heels of acquiring Jaroslav Spacek for Tomas Kaberle earlier today, the Hurricanes faceoff with a Jets team attempting to win their fourth game in a row and in the midst of a 7-2-1 run.

Preview: Colorado Avalanche at Edmonton Oilers, 9:30 p.m. ET. The Avalanche last won on the road Oct. 22 against the Chicago Blackhawks, a streak of eight games, and visit Rexall Place facing a Oilers squad that's lose their last three at home to Colorado. Kevin Porter will miss the second of four games due to his suspension for kneeing David Booth, while Andy Sutton will be scratch as he awaits a hearing for his own coming Shanaban.

Puck Daddy Reader Comment of the Day: "The Chosen One" on the Kaberle deal:

"The Hurricanes have already produced 10,000 Kaberle bobbleheads to be given away at a home game in the spring. I wonder if they were included in the trade?"

He's right. On March 30th, 10,000 Kaberle bobblehead dolls were scheduled to be given away by the Canes. Surely some artist can change the Carolina logo into a Habs one, right?

Bold Prediction: Panthers keep it rolling with a 4-1 win over the Sabres. And 10 games for Mr. Sutton tomorrow.
