Last summer, we created the Chatter Box as a way for puckheads to easily locate breaking news and rumors during the Free-Agent Frenzy; and, at the end of the day, to have a chronological review of all the action (or inaction) during the NHL's shopping spree.
Plus, your Puck Daddy friends will open up the chat at random times during the day to talk puck and, if requested, publish images of hamburger women ...
For Day 1 of the 2010 Free-Agent Frenzy, which officially begins at noon ET/9 a.m. PT, we've complied 24 Twitter feeds from some of the best hockey journalists, news-breakers and entertaining analysts for your viewing enjoyment. The Chatter Box begins at 9 a.m. EST:
Kevin Allen of USA Today; agent Allan Walsh of Octagon Hockey; Scott Burnside of ESPN; Pierre LeBrun of ESPN; Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet; Michael Russo of the Star Tribune; Bob McKenzie of TSN; Darren Dreger of TSN; Larry Brooks of the NY Post; Tarik El-Bashir of the Washington Post; Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly; Elliotte Friedman of CBC Sports; Craig Custance of The Sporting News; Jeremy Rutherford of the Post Dispatch; Cap Geek from, uh Cap Geek; Rob Rossi of the Tribune-Review; Chris Johnston of the Canadian Press; Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period; Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch; Adrian Dater of the Denver Post; Paul Kukla of Kukla's Korner; and your Puck Daddy buddies Wyshynski, Chesnokov, Leahy and Bourne.
(Note: We're simply filtering the feeds into the Chatter Box. There may be some PG-13 language here and there, so be advised.)
Bookmark this page, as we will pop in now and again to answer questions or shoot the breeze. I'll let you know on Twitter when the chat is open. Thanks for spending the Frenzy with Puck Daddy. We'll have posts on all the big signings, trades and trends, so refresh often. Enjoy the chaos!
(To the Twitter newbies -- "RT" means "re-tweet," as in something that's been quoted; "@______" is a message directed as a particular username.)
