No. 1 star: Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers, Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton rookie goalie stopped 40 shots one day after making 37 saves in a win over New Jersey, backstopping the Oilers to a 3-2 shootout victory on the road against the New York Rangers. He stopped 19 shots alone in the second period, including a lunging save to prevent a Rangers' shot from crossing the goal line behind him. He then prevented Nikolai Zherdev, Fredrik Sjostrom and Markus Naslund from scoring in the shootout -- snagging Naslund's shot with his glove. Edmonton finished 4-3 in its longest road trip of the season.
No. 2 star: Brent Johnson, Washington Capitals
With the spotlight and a flood of emotions on the other side of the ice with Olaf Kolzig, Johnson made 34 saves in the Capitals' 4-2 win over the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning. Johnson didn't allow an even-strength goal against the Bolts, and made 28 saves in the last two periods. This was his fourth straight start for Washington, and he continues to earn time over Jose Theodore.
No. 3 star: Ales Hemsky, Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton forward went scoreless in regulation and overtime, but fired a shot that went off of Henrik Lundqvist's glove and behind the Rangers' goalie for the deciding shootout goal.
Honorable Mention: Chris Drury scored his sixth of the season to tie the game in the third period for the Rangers. ... Gary Roberts scored two power-play goals for Tampa. ... Alexander Ovechkin scored his first goal since Oct. 11 in the third period for Washington. ... Capitals fans greeting Kolzig with chants and cheers at the start of the game, his first since leaving his longtime franchise.
Dishonorable Mention: Kolzig was shaky in the first period, and his defense didn't help him by allowing two Capitals defensemen to score. ... Lukas Krajicek and Steve Eminger were both a minus-3 for the Bolts. ... Zack Stortini needs to start buying opponents dinner if he's going to embrace them this passionately, like he did with Colton Orr tonight.

Wysh, please stop drawing attention to Stortini. I like to think that if we just pretend he isn't there, he might just go away. Flames fans aren't the only ones who call him Huggy Bear.
