No. 1 Star: Matt Moulson(notes), New York Islanders

Two day after beating his brother-in-law Jonathan Quick(notes) for two goals in a win over the Los Angeles Kings, Moulson was the star of the show as the Islanders downed the Florida Panthers 5-1. Moulston recorded his second career hat trick beating Tomas Vokoun(notes) twice in the first period and adding an empty-netter to cap it off. Al Montoya(notes) won his second straight game with the Islanders stopping 20 shots.

No. 2 Star: Michal Neuvirth(notes), Washington Capitals

Neuvirth made 39 saves as the Capitals took the season series 3-0-1 with the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 1-0 victory. It was Neuvirth's third shutout of the season and second straight against Penguins. After scoring seven goals against Pittsburgh last season, Alex Ovechkin(notes) put home his first against the Penguins on the power play late in the second period:

No. 3 Star: Patrick Kane(notes)/Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks

After giving up two goals in 1:45 in the first period, the Blackhawks roared back with four straight en route to a 5-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues. Kane and Toews each scored their 20th goals of the season in the second period as Chicago ended the Blues' three-game winning streak.

Honorable mention: Josh Bailey(notes) got creative in trying to go around Panthers defenseman Bryan Allen(notes) for his ninth goal of the season:

Finally, poor Roman Polak(notes) fell for the ole "open the door while your opponent is near" prank:

Did you know? "St. Louis' 108-game streak without being blanked since then is the NHL's longest current run." (AP)

Dishonorable mention: Tomas Vokoun has now lost in seven of his last nine appearances ... Pittsburgh has only beaten Washington four times in 14 regular season games since Bruce Boudreau took over behind the bench for the Caps.
